Are you looking for a job in China?
Have a look at the following tips - all based on our clients' experiences:

1. Learn the language or a least some basic Mandarin
2. Before you start looking for a job, remember to do your homework. Who are you? What are your skills, your personal strengths, your centres of interest, your values and other criteria for career satisfaction.
3. Network: join Chambers of Commerce events but also socialize within non-professional organizations
4. Use at least four different job-hunting methods and do not solely rely on recruitment agencies and headhunters
5. Target the companies who need your set of skills by using Chambers of Commerce directories and by attending seminars and networking events
6. Conduct a comprehensive number of informational interviews in your field of interest
7. Ask for warm referrals
8. Explore opportunities to become an entrepreneur
9. Explore opportunities to volunteer
10. Be flexible and patient! Set yourself a goal of 2/3 months to understand the market and conduct your informational interviews. Then another 2/3 months for active "job-targeting".

Good luck!
